#NoDogs. It’s been a while…

I hope all is well?

Apologies I haven’t reached out in ages it’s been a busy few weeks for us, our team has grown and is growing, Danny joined us just over a month ago and Georgia starts this week, Georgia is going to assist in the brew house and will streamline the brewing procedures. Over the last few weeks we have dug trenches, hit water pipes, installed 6” drains, created a first ever sour, hosted biker rally’s, christenings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday parties and classic vehicle meets.

Our first ever collaboration beer with Shindigger Brewing Co. is a double fruited kettle sour, this beer has 760kg of raspberries and 190kg of cherries. This beer was recently launched at the Cane & Grain in Manchester. You can get your fix from the Tap Room.

We have hosted our first ever bikers rally, this was something I had never seen before, it was like I had fallen down a rabbit hole and into the bikers version of Alice in Wonderland. From guys wearing clogs with a leather Viking helmets to a dude walking round the place with a boa constrictor round his neck and literally everything in between.

The biker fraternity is great, and there was no trouble, they also left the place spotless.

We had a double decker bus rock up, again I can safely say I’ve never seen one at the farm before.

The Cockerham Classic Vehicle meets are becoming more popular with a great selection of stuff, from a Jaguars E-Type to a Ford County 1174. This is held the 1st Tuesday of the months, next one being Tuesday the 6th of August from 1600-dusk.

It’s not all been fun fun fun, with a fair few weeks of shit breaking down, my peach of a van, to weighing scales, expensive BOC regulators, iPhones, selector forks in tractor gearboxes, slew motors on the 14 tonne JCB excavator and the battery in our CarboQC.

We have had a recent visit from a government official and unfortunately due to the main part of our business being food production no dogs, ferrets, snakes, cats and birds of prey are no longer allowed inside the brewery. Pets are welcome but must remain outside. Being a dog guy myself this is not great news 🥺

I know a lot of our customers have four legged friends and I hope they can understand the situation we are in.

Saturday the 3rd of August we have Molly Warburton back at the farm and Dough N Co frapping out wood fired pizzas.

These blogs probably won’t be every Sunday as the pressure is just to much, but they will be a bit more sporadic, my intention is to create smaller more frequent blogs.

Have a cracking week, cheers Steve 🤟🏼
